Used Oil Absorbents Program Overview

The SES of TX program begins with the generator certification and service agreement. SES accepts used oil
absorbents, rags, pads, booms, and other spill/leak products. SES provides a labeled and rated DOT
drum for proper storage and transportation. A collection shipping paper is created and a copy is left
with the generator. The used oil absorbents are then consolidated at the nearest SES facility where
the manifest numbers are recorded on a used oil absorbent log sheet. The used oil absorbents are
then transported on a shipping paper with a copy of the log sheet to an authorized recycler where
they are used for fuel recovery. A copy of the log sheet is sent back to the originating SES facility to
complete proper tracking.
